Hi folks.

McRaven and myself have been discussion over PM, where we shared some ideas on how to move on. Would like to see if anyone else has other ideas, or will be interested to participate.

1) Continue what we did previously, discussing ideas among ourselves on what contract and/or story arc we would like to develop, than come up with contract(s) to play things out. All these will be based on current BTM timeline.

2) Possibly rebooting to some earlier timeframe before BTM AU diverged from canon timeline. We spoke about just before the Clan Invasion of '50, but I'm sure we are open to other periods as well.

3) Given that BTM was created years ago by members who didn't like the Dark Ages development, I'm not sure if the next idea is a slap on our own faces - rebooting and creating story arcs based on actual B-tech timelines. That means that we WILL have the Dark Ages being played out.

As usual, hoping for feedback and raise of hands from anyone who's willing to put our collective heads together and see if we can kick-start our beloved BTM forums again.

Having read the pro's and con's, as well as the BT material, my two cents here is just jumping to the current time line of 3150. The reason here is the I-clan books that are now coming out the covers old and new mechs etc. I know a lot of players that are now playing in this time line. Table top is
hot right now since it can be just two players and most reading is current time line. I think we had a good run in the alt time line but I think we lost
to many players to it as well.

The thing with the Dark ages now is there is a lot of wiggle room to play in as they jumped around a lot with info and battles. So we could also say
we jump forward and restart another time line as well. A current time line jump and new units made from old could be one thought of action.
Anyway just my thoughts.

I once participated here many many years ago, I no longer remember my login credentials / what email I used for it (i think I had made two accounts because I locked myself out of the first account I made? ).

Sad to see that this gem of the battletech community appears to be somewhat abandoned with only a few people remaining. Any hope to re-ignite the flames and get things active again? I would love to embark in another journey again as I had once done all those years ago.

I would be okay with a jump ahead in the timeline... I really don't like the Dark Ages stuff and have no interest in writing for it but I could be okay with 3150 stuff. I don't know the storyline really well in that timeline so might be floundering a bit for lore and Mech info, etc... but that is why God made the Internet, right? And it would be an excuse to get into the newer lore.

That being said, I would have no issues with going back in time either. For me, a lot of this is just wanting to write. BT is my favorite universe to do so in and this community is one of my favorites to write in.
