Hey Captain Zane,
Have you started on contract # PY-SD-04-07 yet?
I am inquiring because I would like to join you on this venture via a Joint Contract. You can check out what I have available to utilize here: Military Hardware List

I am not proposing that my entire unit accompany you, unless you want it to, just my:

Hello Major Whitley,

Your reputation and the expertise of your unit precede you. My fledgling unit is still learning the ins and outs of the mercenary trade, and any assistance is welcome. My current TO&E is not ideally set-up for urban security duty, so the resources you bring would certainly fill that gap on this contract. At first glance, elements of your Fox Cub, Queen Bee, and Angry Hornet detachments are well-suited to the initial battle plan I'm formulating, and possibly yourCaeron and SneakSat assets could prove useful in the long-term. Here is my Military Hardware List for your review. The Dark Suns look forward to working with the Rabid Wolves in the near future.

OOC: So, I was planning to use the bulk of the initial Security Duty contract to provide back story on my unit and its members, culminating to its recent incarnation as a mercenary unit pulling security duty in the Periphery. Much of the security duty nuts and bolts would be part of the tail end of the contract, and most of the action would be part of the supplemental riot duty contract.

How do Joint Contracts work, and how are word counts, payments, salvage, etc. affected? Like I said, I'm pretty new to the MUCO thing.

Joint Contracts are distinctly two SEPARATE contracts with the same objectives on the same planet with two units working together. So there is NO change to word counts, payments, salvage, etc when performing a Joint Contract. You have a contract # & I'd have my own contract number.

The changes are all structural.

Since it is your contract and I am joining:
You would be the contract Moderator
We would use your Dark Suns Corp OCC forum to post contract discussions,

When numbering the contract posts, they would follow a normal sequential order with our unit's initials appended to the end, ie
PY-SD-04-07 #01 DSCC
PY-SD-04-07 #02 DSCC
PY-SD-04-07 #03 RW
PY-SD-04-07 #04 DSCC
PY-SD-04-07 #05 RW + DSCC* (Denotes we both contributed to this post and we can both use it in our word count)

So if I am interpreting your response correctly, that's a Yes to the Joint Contract, but you'd prefer that I wait for the supplemental?
