==Overview:==
The Inner sphere standard of battle armor has not changed since
its first introduction in 3052. While suits like the Raiden,
Cavalier have replaced them in the houses armed forces and suits
like the Longinus have brought capabilities closer to the
elemental, nothing has been done for the mercenary market for four
decades. In 3097 RHI set out to update the old power armor to
modern times.

==Capabilities:==
The Destrier uses styling that is suited to the Federated suns
mercenary market, however plans to diversify the styling to fit
other markets do exist (Artists are working up drafts for Nordic
stylizing for the Lyran and Rasalhague markets). Primarily aimed
at mercenaries the suits set up shares much with the Standard IS
battle armor to minimize disruption of training. Also placement of
weapons are similar  as well as other suit systems. A technician
familiar to the IS standard battle armor will have no problem
maintaining the Destrier.

The suit uses advanced composites to create a lighter armor, the
armor was derived from clan battle armor suits, how RHI got the
samples to derive a more advanced armor is mysterious. What is
known in that production of the suit was delayed as Irian
Technologies put a lawsuit against the company charging that RHI
engaged in patent infringement. RHI then countersued and claimed
that their formula and derivation of an armor close to the
Advanced armor was derived from their own research and that IrTech
was using the suit as a legal means to spy on RHI and demand the
suit be dismissed with prejudice. (There is a rumor that the
Current Head of RHI is looking for a Mercenary unit to strike back
at IrTech as revenge for their lawfare.)

The suit has as much armor as a clan elemental suit, while still
lacking the harjel system the clans use, it brings the suit closer
to the toughness clan troops have. Additionally due to the
bulkiness of the armor, a battleclaw was unable to be installed
and instead a pair of basic manipulators are used to allow the
trooper to ride on omnimechs and make mech attacks.

The Suit has increased carrying capacity over the IS standard
battle armor. While the Old suit can mount a small recoiless
rifle, the Destrier can mount a medium recoiless rifle or a
support PPC in its load outs on the modular weapons mount.

Query... Destrier is the name of a Bot in the Android game War Robots. Is that where you got the name? Or is it inspired by something else? Just curious.

If I recall correctly, Destrier was also a class of warhorse for pre-space flight Terran knights in armor.
