Lore
The original Vector II was meant for the SLDF's various needs as a universal platform. Though not an Omni vehicle by design, the reduced individual cost of vehicles was meant to appeal to larger military buys to make purchases of whole fleets of Vector IIs as well as to retain the original Vector's simplicity in maintenance. Unfortunately the collapse of the second Star League in 3085 ruined their initial plans. Production of the Transport VT-II-T had already begun, however, as there was a pressing and clear demand for them regardless of the absence of their intended main buyer. The other variants, however, were left as prototypes and trail vehicles.
Unwilling to let the effort go to waste, General Motors put out a tender to gauge interest as well as sending said prototypes and test pilots out for live fire training trials among potential buyers.
Capabilities
A departure from the Vector II and original Vector's purpose of troop transportation. This attack variant removes any and all troop carrying capabilities to mount weapons. It retains a flexible, infantry support role as the original but is now geared towards direct fire support. With an MML 5 launcher and two tons for configurable ammo to suit the mission. A Magshot is added to the chin turret to combat both light vehicles and battle armour.
The cost of all this weaponry was the base and hybrid model's StarSlab-7 Heavy Ferro-Fibrous armour. In it's place it mounts less bulky but increased amounts of StaSlab-1 Ferro-Fibrous.
