Benet III is the third planet in the Benet system. Lacking any moons, Benet II
has a high-pressure atmosphere and has been home to a manufacturing facility
operated by the defense company Johnston Industries. The Benet system had a small
safe jump radius.

The capital city of Benet III is Donner.Benet III is an unpleasant planet for
human habitation, it has only 65% of the gravity of Earth, the high-pressure
atmosphere is also tainted and despite 60% surface water, the majority of the
planet’s single supercontinent is desert. Benet was only settled to take advantage of the high concentrations of platinum-group metals and the early
mining and refining efforts attracted heavy industry to the planet. The mineral
wealth and factories have been enough to keep people living on Benet III,
despite the planet’s lack of charm and comfort.

Gakken County covers a rugged stretch of terrain. Glacier carved granite
mountains and ravines make travel difficult. The only site of strategic interest
in Gakken County is the orbital tracking station in the city of Beaux Pawl,
which monitors space traffic and coordinates AeroSpace forces guarding the

Of the remaining supply dumps formed during Operation SMOTHER, the largest was
located on Benet III as of the final years of the Star League. It was replenished periodically to support units in the Star League Defense Force.

Benet III was captured by the Armed Forces of the Federated Suns in 2816 as part
of the third and final major AFFS counter-offensive of the First Succession War
against the Draconis Combine.

The world was also the site of another of the Bounty Hunter and Natasha Kerensky’s infamous run-ins. This final meeting amazingly saw the two temporarily allying on Benet III in 3027 when their employers — Kerensky working
for the Combine and the Bounty Hunter working for the FedSuns — left them both
without support on a planet full of enemies. Once they escaped that world, they
went their own ways, though the animosity between the two apparently never

Socio-Industrial Levels:
Technological Development
Advanced world with access to many new technologies; world hosts universities; good medical care available, though without benefit of bionics and other cutting-edge technologies; basic microelectronics industry.
Industrialization Level
Moderately industrialized; may produce a limited number/quantity of specific complex products.
Raw Material Dependence
World/system produces all the raw materials needed and commonly exports large quantities of surplus.
Industrial Output
World has a moderate industrial base that produces a few different categories of products, exporting some of the output.
Agricultural Dependence
World is agriculturally poor and must import much of its food to supplement what is grown.

First off, allow me to begin our negotiations by extending my condolences to your Commanding Officer’s condition. Erik is a strong man. He’ll pull through. However, I’d rather not dwell on the condition of your IAC personnel. So let’s move onto why I’ve contacted you and your unit in particular. The Federated Suns still has a vested interest in the Johnston Industries Manufacturing Plant located on Benet III now in the hands of House Kurita. The Coordinator has allowed the Federated Suns to continue operating the plant with a meager security force on world, as long as it was mutually beneficial for him to do so. But that status is rapidly coming to an end.

We’d like to send your battalion to Benet III with the specific purpose of packing up the plant, brick for brick, for relocation to the Federated Suns. To this end, you will be escorting three Invader class JumpShips, with a compliment of 9 Mammoth Class DropShips. You will rendezvous with this Transport Fleet at the Crucis March, Coreward Combat Theater's Capital world of Markesan. And we will also require the expertise of your veteran AeroSpace Pilot Captain’s Engineering savvy on the Johnston Industries Development and Research Team until such a time we can get the plant relocated. We have seen what she can do on the Jagdvogel. If something should go awry, we need the IAC at least to recover all the data, backups, and the server storage farm and then to wipe the hard drives and memory cores clean.

Whereas we do not 'Believe' your unit will receive any push back from the House Garrison Unit, the Third Galedon Regulars, there are other more unsavory elements displaying an interest in the research at Johnston.

1) Escort the Davion DropShips to Benet III
2) Stand guard while the Davion Forces pack up Johnston’s Industries

1) Acquire ALL data and servers
2) Eliminate ALL traces of research
