PLANETARY DETAILS:
This sunny, tropical world is the home of McCarron's Armored Cavalry. Large civilian populations, many of whom are ex-Cavalry troopers, serve as a pool for McCarron's units. Menke also boasts extensive BattleMech repair facilities and one of the highest concentrations of trained Techs in the Confederation. A jungle warfare-training center is located in the planet's southern hemisphere.
The perpetrual holding of the McCarron family, Menke is part of the Duchy of Mitchel, and Duke Adam Fitzwater has the right to use one of McCarron's regiments in the event of enemy action or a critical emergency. At least one McCarron's regiment, and usually two or more, can be found on Menke at any given time, making it a very uninviting target for Davion raiders.

EMPLOYER SITUATION REPORT:
The Capellan Magistracy managed to upset our plans in the last war because they were confident of peace and security on their border with the Free Worlds League. That is no longer the case, tensions between the two realms remain high and the Capellans have deployed a lot of their forces to the Free Worlds League side of their realm. With few reserves to call upon, the Capellan Magistracy is ripe for an attack.

There is an opportunity here to redeploy enough troops to attack a Capellan Magistracy's weakened border along our Capellan March. Marshall of the Armies Mordecai Rand-Davion has met with the March Commanders and taken recommendations from the Department of Strategies and Tactics. With a formal recommendation in hand, Marshall Rand-Davion has received authorization to begin Operation Horus’ Creance from the First Princess.

Since the last open conflict, the worlds of Indicass to Safe Port and Hadnal have become an outstretched limb of Capellan territory dubbed the Indicass Arm by the AFFS. According to the Department of Strategy and Tactics this swath of territory is particularly vulnerable to attacks from both sides and severing this limb from the Capellans can be achieved with speed and surprise. We will severe the limb, taking all the worlds from Indicass and Spica onward.

Operation Horus’ Creance will consist of Phaseline Alpha and Phaseline Bravo. Phaseline Bravo is a strategic diversion. Large raids are being conducted into this region of space. Tactically, these raids are important victories as they will focus on demolishing military forces on those worlds. Strategically, Phaseline Bravo is intended to confuse the Capellans as to the extent and focus of Operation Horus’ Creance. Any reinforcements sent here will pull troops away from the assault on the Indicass Arm.

Phaseline Alpha consists of invasions along the Indicass Arm.The Department of Military Intelligence believes that the strategic reserve units for the entire arm are stationed on Indicass, Hustaing and Denbar. These forces will need to be suppressed. They cannot be allowed to join a counterattack.

The AFFS has form three provisional Corps. I Corps will focus on the “bicep” swath of the Indicass Arm that includes Indicass and Tantara. They will also be responsible for suppressing strategic reserve units on Hustaing and Denbar.

II Corps will focus on the lower half of the Arm. With primary targets including Warlock, Tallin and Safe Port.

III Corps will serve as the headquarters for all forces conducting raids into
Phaseline Bravo, in around Menke. This region is most notably home to McCarron’s Armored Cavalry, which controls landholds on Menke and Mitchel. Putting that region under threat will stop the most likely source of a large-scale counterattack.

Your Unit is being attached to III Corps. You will be held in reserve until Wave II when the Wolf's Dragoons hit their secondary target of Menke. You may be required to perform recon work, defensive security, or rear guard duties, basically whatever Colonel Kelly Yukinov decides she needs you for.
